Chichester filmfest to host ‘The Badger’

Iranian movie ‘The Badger’ has made its way to the Chichester Film Festival in UK.

Directed by Kazem Mollaee, the film will represent Iran at the World Cinema Competition section of the 2021 edition of the event.

The movie narrates the story of a 40-year-old woman, played by Vishka Asayesh, who is facing a difficult challenge in her private life.

Soudeh’s 11-year-old son, Matiar, gets kidnapped as she is about to start a second marriage. After considerable search and effort, Soudeh decides to ask for the ransom money from her ex-husband, Peyman. How much will this incident challenge her certainties?

The 21 day independent film festival covers previews and premieres of UK, American, European and World Cinema; Features, Documentaries, Animation, particularly indie films from Europe (East and West), Plus three Open Air screenings in Priory Park, Chichester.

The 29th edition of the event is currently underway physically from August 12-28, 2021.
